There will be a short informational & rules meeting for Volleyball & Cross County at 10 am on Wednesday, August 11th in the Wakpala School Commons. Parents & students welcome! Face masks are required.

June 24th is the last day for Open Gym at Wakpala Public School

Summer school is half way done already! We have some great activities for our students coming up next week.

K-3 students enrolled in summer school will be going to swimming lessons beginning Monday June 14th-17th. It is important that students are here on Monday so they are able to participate in swimming lessons. Students not at summer school on Monday will not be able to be in swimming lessons. Don’t forget your suit and towel, bring it every day.
Next week all of our students will get to participate in cultural activities with Kevin Locke. He will be presenting activities with flutes.
We will still be taking eligible students to the pool on Tuesday and Thursday.

Summer School will begin Tuesday, June 1st. If you missed the registration form, it's attached! Please complete & return it by the 1st.

Recently, with the availability of COVID-19 vaccines, the CDC has relaxed its stance on the necessity of masks while indoors. With this announcement, and the statistical information showing that spread has slowed significantly within the state, we are making masks OPTIONAL during Summer School. We will continue to distance whenever possible, continue the use of hand sanitizers & continue fogging the building nightly.

4th and 5th grade students took a field trip to Indian Creek for fishing with Game, Fish and Park. Thursday, May 6 2021

Kindergarten recently completed the MAPS assessment. They got to celebrate their high growth and high achievements on the assessments by doing a piñata.

Students will be released at 1 pm tomorrow, May 18th. We hope everyone has a safe & enjoyable summer break!
