For Covid related reasons at Lifetouch, the picture retake day has been rescheduled to Thursday, December 9th. Retake day is your chance to get your photo retaken or take a picture if you missed the original picture day. If you wish to retake your picture, please bring your original photo package with you! Remember, the Wakpala District is graciously paying for the basic photo package ($14.99 value) for all Wakpala Public School enrolled students. Payments must be made on December 9th for the difference on any packages with a higher dollar value.

Kevin Locke will be visiting the Wakpala Public School on Monday, December 6th, for a presentation including indigenous music, hoop dancing and storytelling. The community is welcome to attend this hour long presentation which starts at 8:45 am in the Wakpala Public School gym.

Order forms and payment for additional Basketball pins, pictures or magnets are due on Friday, December 3rd. Wakpala School is paying for the sports package for each player which includes 1 Memory Mate, 2 pins and 1 magnet. See the attached for pricing on additional items.

IHS Public Health nurses will be at the Wakpala School gymnasium on December 14th from 9:30 am-2 pm for a voluntary COVID-19 vaccination event for students age 5 years and older. A student who is under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to fill out paperwork and receive the vaccine. The parent/guardian must come to the front office to check-out the student before receiving the vaccine.

There will be no school from Nov. 24-26. Classes will resume on Monday Nov. 29.

There will be no after-school program the week of November 22nd. The program will resume on Monday, November 29th.
